The competition this year had 75 entries from 13 countries in Asia – Pacific and Europe. This is a sign of the growing popularity of the competition and the importance broadcasters put on this topic.

For the Best Radio Feature on Disaster Preparedness and Disaster Risk Reduction, the winner is Radio Republic Indonesia for “Mount Agung is my friend” – produced and directed by ANGGIE,

The Best Radio Feature on Climate Change Awards were bestowed on two winners, China National Radio for “The Concert on Wetland”, produced and directed by LIU CHAO, and All India Radio for “Small, small World” – produced and directed by Naveen Gupta.

The Best TV Feature on Climate Change went to Mega Crisis: Forecasting Super Typhoons, NHK, Japan.

China Central TV won the Best TV Feature on Disaster Preparedness and DRR Climate Change Award for – Insight from a Camel, produced by Jian Feng Wang

There are also two special awards in the competition. The recipient for radio is “The Rose in My Heart” produced and directed by XIAO YUAN of China National Radio.

The winner of The Best Human Story Award for Television is Vietnam Television for “The Obsession Called Linda”.

The last Award is Most Promising Producer and went to PANAHON TV from the Philippines in recognition of the quality of production, enthusiasm for the environment and dedication to the cause.
